H.P Lovecraft is a name that referes to a childhood cat named Nigger-man, who was owned by a horror fiction writer named H.P. Lovecraft. He owned this cat until 1094, and made an apperance in one of his stories titled The Rats in the Walls, published in 1924. This cats name was later changed to Black Tom in reprints of the story.
