What to buy: Apple iPad mini or Google Nexus 7?

Apple sold 100,000,000 iPad in 30 month since the first iPad was launched in the spring of 2010. Since then they released 4 generations of iPads and now the iPad mini is also available. This is a great little device for those who need an ultra-portable device. See the pictures of iPad mini and a comparison chart the competing Android tablet the Nexus 7.
If you already have iTunes content or other Apple devices and want a good screen go for the iPad mini. If you are short on cash and you don't mind using Android go for the Nexus 7.

When did Apple stop making stuff out of plastic? Like 15 years ago?
They're really close. I think think people will go after specs, but will decide on operating system / brand.

its funny. as the line between smartphones and tablets blur. i find myself considering reducing myself to a plain old "phone" (you know, those things with a number pad, speaker and microphone) and carrying a small tablet as a mobile business communication device.
but im grandfathered in to an unlimited data plan with my iphone. so i'd sure hate to lose that...
What SIM do you have? Micro SIM? The iPads use those, correct me if I'm wrong but you could insert it into the iPad and go about business that way if worse came to worse? Granted iPads are larger and you'd probably be paying for a voice plan you won't be able to use.
@OP, this almost feels like a step to next years iPad 2 Mini with the retina display. the screens PPI is so low compared to the models Apple is putting out these days, odd.
This is the one I'd like to have.

Now I know what to buy, I thought Nexus 7 will be better in its features, but seeing the specs of the 2 device iPad Mini is really far ahead from Google Android Powered Nexus 7. I also think that the price of iPad mini is also reasonable and worth the value of what I am getting with. Anyway, I am looking for best store or online shop so I can get my iPad mini with at least also offers even not discounts but freebies like ipad case designs like what I have seen in www.kekacase.com.
