Another Bazooka Idea

Here is another swat at the Bazooka Creative logo.

I eliminated the idea of an explosion, because I realize it isn't needed. The word already is Bazooka. No graphic is needed to sell a word like bazooka. I might mess with the starburst idea some more, because I love the simplicity of it, compared to having some thing that looks like a nuclear explosion.

Anyway, enjoy.

what a great quote! I agree with your new direction. The 'b' is very cool and the repetitive circles has a nice balance. The one point of tension is the space between the 'b' and 'A'. I see how a ligature isn't going to work there, that's a tough one... I'm sure you explored options in that spacing. That mark looks really good reversed out too. Bazooka, now I love the name, and it's your new design that makes the name interesting.

I love the style of this. However, the B kind of looks a bit odd. Also, not sure if you intended this, but the two Os look like a gun barrel... might make a nice place to play around with that starburst idea. Great work overall, though!

Hehe, silly me... I probably should have checked out the first version before commenting on the second. :-P

Thanks for the awesome input. Glad everyone likes this one so far. I have been playing with the "B" and it is looking better. I look forward to more great comments.

Definitely an improvement over the first shot at it. The B does look a bit strange hanging out there in space but I don't know if it would necessarily look better brought closer.

This is the first thing I noticed, since all of the other letters are melded in some way. It's something to try. Otherwise I like it!

I'm almost certain you didn't knew this before but Bazooka is one of the larger web companies in Sweden..

No wonder I couldn't find any record of them...none of their site is in english. Well I am certainly sticking with Bazooka. Hopefully they don't send men in black suits to my door step.

I really love where this is heading and I think if you can solve the issue of the "B" and it's connection to the first "A" - you will be right where you want to!

Here are my thoughts on how to improve:

1) Look at changing the "A" from UC to LC and in that creating your own "a" - look at all the letter forms - the word itself can be bold and sexy at the same time. You have the bold from the "K" and the "Z" and the sexy is easily identified with the "b" and "oo".

2) Maybe make an extension from the bottom/behind the "b" and have it curve into the new LC "a" and continue what you have started with the "oo's".

This will require some fontsmithing on your part but I am sure you will be able to do it as you are clearly in tow with typography. Look at this logo as ONE COHESIVE word shooting out and taking on the name itself.

I hope this helps.

I like the idea of making the A's circular as well. However, I fear that may put too many circular objects and decrease the readability of the text. I will certainly try it. Thanks for the help.

I am happy to hear you are considering taking on my comments. You definitely have a lot to consider with what people have written but it's always up to you the designer to choose powerfully and see what works.

I strongly feel making the "a" lower case will add fluidity to your already great start and enhance it's bold and powerful design.

God speed.
