6 page brochure design

This is a 6 page brochure design for a company that does custom concrete designs for landscaping, patios, etc. The dimensions for each page are approx. 8.5" x 8.5"

This is my first real brochure design so any feedback would be helpful. Also, I logged around 20 hours of time on this from conception/thumbnailing, to touching up the photos, to layout and was wondering if that is a reasonable amount of time to finish something like this or if that's too inefficient?

Thanks.

Also the image is kind of tiny so here's a better look at it:

At a glance, this isn't bad at all. I like that my eye travels from item to item in the proper hierarchy. I would like to see the pages in a bigger format as I'm only seeing the global image.

I'm going to print it out and eat it.

I'm really digging this man. I have yet to design a three page foldout brochure like this, so technically I don't know what to look for, but it seems the margins (borders) vary from page to page.

Visually though, it's a nice piece, easy to read and th enecessary info stands out. I look forward to what other people with more experience say about it.

Overall, nice. The images are great and you've showcased them well. One small thing, I feel like the four on the 'front cover' could use the white stroke to coordinate with the others, but that could just be because I'm looking at the whole layout.

The title area of the page with the ampersand is not sitting well with me - the first line is easy to miss and it looks like you're continuing a thought from the previous page.

I also don't love the black and white rhombuses... don't seem to match the rest of the design to me.

Timing wise, twenty hours does not seem outrageous at all (imho). Keep going with it!

+1. It's a nice piece - but the b/w pics seem out of place for me too.

20 hours? Very reasonable.

Why did you decide to use Helvetica Neue Light for one sentence? That font doesn't seem to appear anywhere else. You might lose that actually when it goes to print. Be careful with light fonts over black!

Thank you everyone for your comments. I am going to explore some different options with this work based on your suggestions, and definitely will keep this advice in mind for future projects.
