Printing Wedding Invitations

Hi all,

I am looking for printers where I can print wedding invitations, announcements and that stuff. I do have a rather large list of printers, but they are not necessarily the best for such an occasion.

Which printer(s) have you or people you know used (ordered from) and were satisfied with the end result. Which ones would you like to use if it was your own wedding.

Any hints or tricks that you know that can aid my search and help my to produce a better end result?

Thanks in advance.

Most printers worth their salt can do wedding invitations, unless there's an aspect of this type of printing that I'm missing. If you want a specialist, look up printers in your area and interview them by phone.

I agree, but unfortunately some of these printers know one area very well and the others not so much. The ones I am most often dealing with are in a niche field, which often allows them to cut prices ever so little. The reason I ask is because I had some less than stellar results or printers that want my first-born in return. So I am shopping around by word-of-mouth. That to me has been always a great resource. So thanks to all recommendations.

I'm nowhere near L.A., so wouldn't know any local printers to recommend, but I'd try a local card shoppe. Select a style of invitation you like from their shelves, flip it over and see what company printed it.

Chances are that they're probably one of the bigger players in the industry, and not touch any runs under 100M, but they may be able to point you in the direction of a printer who could.

ttfn!

It took me ages to find the perfect wedding invitations for my sister's marriage. I had all the arrangements taken care of, but I just couldn't find a suitable invitation for the occasion. I went all over the town and came back empty handed. Then one day while I was browsing online, I stumbled upon this website called Invitation Box (http://www.invitationbox.com/wedding.html). I found a lot of really gorgeous wedding invites and invitation cards for other occasions as well. I suggest you take a look at their website. I'm sure you'll love it.

How about finding an old fashioned letter press shop? That's very classy stuff.
