My stupid dragon logo

I'm getting REALLY sick of this thing...lol But here's where it's at so far. Hopefully the guy won't try to add anything more.
As it is, he's looking like he's about to do unspeakable things to that flashlight. :D

That really is one cool looking dragon.
Yes, but is it a logo? LOL Not to ME.
Thanks, though. I DO appreciate it. :)
Well...no....but.... ;-)
He's missing a wing, not to mention the wing that is there looks bad..
I'd also get rid of that out line by his shoulder.
That section where he's holding the flashlight with his tail looks horrendous.
That huge arrow at the end of his tail is way too big.
If you're already fed up with this logo then you *are* doing something wrong. You just posted it up yesterday. My suggestion would be to research dragons on the internet. Like, more than 5. More like 30 - 40. Then, based on what you see (and maybe print out) Draw your own.
This looks like student work. And I'm not talking Art student.

We artists are indestructible, even in a prison cell or concentration camp I would be almighty in my own world of art. Even if I had to paint my pictures with my wet tongue on the dusty floor of my cell. - Pablo Picasso
I'm tired of it because I've been working on it for 10 days and he keeps changing what he wants.
Then you need to do two things:
A) Get him to sign a contract that will confirm a pay structure and work flow.
Example: x amount of revisions for x amount of dollars. If he wants extra changes, it''s x amount extra.
B) Tell him to shove it.
I highly doubt what he's paying you is even worth all the hassle you're going through. You had a rough week. Rest your mind, read a good book, watch a movie and go soak in the tub. When your mind is ready, start accepting contracts.
Protip: When working on a logo, most of your time goes into research. Once you find the concept, the execution should take you no more than an hour. (execution times may vary depending on proficiency with chosen program and complexity of the logo)

Play with the dragon a bit more. Your curves seem to be a little egg shaped, just clean them up a bit. The tail looks odd with straight lines, add some curves to them.
Beef up your white stroke a bit too.
Here's my first vector dragon, it took a while to get the lines right but once you do it will look great:

If this is going to be a logo, why not trying a simpler dragon with no wings curled around the torch?
Here's a very quick piktcha I drew especially for you.

Feel free to trace it if you like the direction.
:)
Nice piktcha!
I've looked at more dragons than I can count over the past week. I just need to get him to settle on something and then I can clean it up.
I think you're not satisfied because you can't imagine the result as logo.
There are a plenty other ways to communicate that some shape is a dragon, not so directly.
* * * * Research Chinese Restaurant logos :)
I like the horizontal dragon with big head and mouth flamming :]
Your actual dragon seems me like a wanker hehehe
I think you can make something more strong and objective dragon.
Ronaldo! xD
that really looks sexual. he *really* likes that flashlight... oh yeah...
Did you create this all in illulstrator? If you're better with paper and pencil, I'd create it on that, scan it, and then meticulously trace it! The wing looks the most awkward, as well as the stroking claw on the flashlight. The flashlight has this really flat oval at the bottom of the handle that doesn't need to be there.
In the future, if illustrations aren't your strong point- don't try to sell yourself to someone that needs that skill. As you've probably learned it leaves both of you frustrated and needlessly hassled.
I don't want to give you a straight idea that you haven't come across yourself but why not make the dragon's head line up with the head of the torch and have the torchlight coming out of the dragon's mouth like a flame. Just an idea though, i can't visualize it and it sounds like you don't have much freedom on this.
You might be getting tired of this, but it's a great project so don't toss in the towel - you might be sorry later. I'd be willing to take a little hit on the cash if it meant there were really cool dragon flashlights out there that I created.
Nice work, Mac.
I'm thinking your client is your dad, and he's forcing you to make this "logo", that's why he hassles you for 10 days, and that's why you can't make him sign a contract for for extra efforts.
How big is this flashlight anyway that the etching your dragon holding a flashlight would not be seen a gecko with wings? Too much details on the illustration too. When i zoomed the dragon out to 2 inches, it started to look like a black thin ink blot with a large penis.
Unless you're going to use an etching machine that does the silicone chips, lose the details.
p.s. I was looking through dragons on the net and i noticed your dragon don't have hind legs, and if you can, wrap the whole body, not just the tail so it looks more dynamic, it's starting to look phallic.
