it's far too complicated. too many elements, too many colors (four?), too many subtle items, too many things that, when scaled down, will disappear.

simplify simplify simplify. the line and stars seem superfluous (and are some of the elements that won't scale well). what do the stars mean? why are they there? what's the line for (other than to connect the stars)? why the soldier? why the helmet that looks like an odd mix of different eras/regions? it doesn't look roman to me, other than it has a plume, but not what looks like a roman plume to me.

Risk solutions for militant hair stylists? (The brush on the warrior's helmet looks like a thick pony tail.)

The stars remind me of the ones circling the head of an old Looney Tunes' cartoon character after he's been beaned by an Acme hammer; all you need are the tweetie birds. Why stars? Is this a risk management company or something much less serious?

And dare I say that this image is a little Trojans-esque (that's a famous brand name for a line of condoms sold in the US)? The connection between that and "risk" is too funny.

Sorry. This is wrong on so many levels I don'teven know where to begin. But I did begin, didn't I? So allow me to finish.

You will probably not find "old Roman engravings" in vector format, but you could try creating an adaptation of your own. Try to capture the idea of a helmet or shield in a few bold strokes. Forget all the other details. They detract from your central idea of protection.

I think the facial element gives it a somewhat informal look. It looks like a logo for a networking site or some other internet application aimed at young children.

I think if you simply used the helmet and like Mara said, the shield this would be powerful enough.

(p.s) What were you thinking with the stars ? :P

The stars were most likely put in to symbolize the northern constellation, Auriga. However, as Mara pointed out, they make it appear as if the Loony Tunes centurian has been beaned on the melon. Also, heed gwells' advice: simplify simplify simplify.

The shield and gladiator have been used so many times to portray strength and protection, and there is absolutely no problem with using it again, yet the name of the company is so unique. I'd stray away from the Trojan :) base and veer more towards the constellation idea...but no clip arty stars please...

Auriga. There to watch over you.
