thanks!

i can't really say where i'm from because my mother is Russian, my father is half German, half Hungarian, i was born in Hungary, but lived big part of my life in China and now I'm in Bahrain.

just post it in this forum, i thought there is no point to have several forums at the beginning, but once we grow you guys can suggest how to split up the content.

so go ahead post your Safari question! :)

I've read somewhere that Safari can help web designer

previewing sites you developing like if you were using IE for PC or Netscape 4.7 for instance.

I've dowloaded Safari Enchancer and the only thing

I see under the "Debug" menus is "User agent" where you can select different

browsers, but I don't see any difference the way the sites contents are displayed

no matter which browser I select. (I've tried on different sites with the cache disabled)

Is the User Agnet what ppl are talking about?

Or is there something else in Safari for that purpose?

Thankz

i think those settings do not modify the way the pages are displayed. all they do is change the referrer settings, so that the server sees you as you were not using Safari, but the selected browser. This can be useful with sites that only allow for example only Internet Explorer to view their sites. Banks tend to do that...

Can anyone confirm if my understanding is correct?

It does the opposite, it handles all problems and degreations the best so it makes your site look better always. When I first view my sites in virtual pc on ie6 i usually start to cry.... then yell "but its 100% w3c compliant" then the denial period "no no its just the way MY computer displays it" then acceptance "alright time to break out the i.e. css hacks"

got code?
